Who are the Knights of Columbus?
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's
fraternal benefit society that was formed to render financial
aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are
offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and
their families through educational, charitable, religious,
social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
Who is council 13341?
We are 169 men from the parish of
Our Lady of the Angels, Catholic Community in Bradenton,
Florida. In 2009 our parish will be celebrating a 10 year
anniversary. However, being a
young council by no way means we are lacking of activities.
We have Fish Frys,
a Tootsie Roll drive, we work at Habitat for Humanity, we have
blood drives and we work at the Cincinnati Reds
Spring Training games in Sarasota.

From our Grand Knight:
Brothers,
As we come to an end of our fraternal year, it is only
fitting
to congratulate and Thank each and every one of you, including
your spouses and significant others, for making this year a
great success. We accomplished many goals this year. Without
each and every one of you pitching in so many different ways we
would have not made the great strides we made this year. So from
the bottom of my heart Thank You! I am looking forward to
working with each of you once again the coming fraternal year
On another note, I have just come back from the Knights
of Columbus State Convention in Orlando, Florida. It was great
to be with so many brothers from the state of Florida and
collect and share ideas. We will be implementing some exciting
new programs next year that I am sure you will find satisfying
to be involved in.
Vivat Jesus,
Grand Knight-Bill Higginbotham
